Following tradition, the entire studio went out to see the latest Twilight movie. Everybody gorged on popcorn, pretzel nuggets, nachos, and teen vampire angst.

Augenblick Studios Invades Ottawa – Sunday

On the last day, decisions were made and awards were given.

Augenblick Studios Invades Ottawa – Saturday

Saturday included stints of sightseeing, shopping unsuccessfully for fridge magnets, more screenings, and more partying.

Augenblick Studios Invades Ottawa – Friday

The studio was honored at the 2011 Ottawa International Animation Festival with a retrospective titled “Last Exit to Brooklyn.” Aaron was also invited to serve as a jury member (alongside world renowned animators Mati Kutt and Jan Pinkava) for the short film competition. Staff and friends traveled north to join Aaron in the festivities.

Augenblick Studios Retrospective at OIAF

The 2011 Ottawa International Animation Festival is screening an Augenblick Studios retrospective called “Last Exit to Brooklyn”. Many fan favorites will be shown on the big screen including: Ramblin’ Man, Drunky, Wonder Showzen, Lying Rhino, and Golden Age. There will be deep cuts and surprises thrown in for good measure. The show is curated by Chris Robinson with Aaron Augenblick in attendance to answer questions.
